Corbett Community Library February newsletter

After a chilly start to the year, we’re looking ahead — and it’s set to be a busy and exciting one. In addition to our usual program of events and activities, this October marks a very special occasion: our 10th birthday! It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since we opened our doors as a Community Library, thanks to the incredible support of our community.

We’re starting this February by saying a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has so generously donated to us, whether through a regular contribution or a one-off donation. We want to thank you formally and share how — and where — your money has been spent, and the difference it has helped make. You should be receiving an invite from us, and if you don’t, please give me a nudge!

Later in the year, we’ll be marking our 10th birthday with a whole range of events throughout October, including an Art Auction, the Catford Arts Trail, a heritage talk, author readings, live music, and of course, a big party! Watch this space…

The Big Reveal – Community Sewing Project

Do you Champion our Library?

On Monday 9th February, one of our trustees, Ben Honeybone, will be in the library for most of the day putting together some short film clips about the library — with a focus on the people who use it.

We’d love to capture why you visit, what you enjoy about the library, and whether there’s anything that makes it special for you.

If you’d be happy to be filmed having a short chat with Ben, please do pop along.

What’s included: There’ll be warm refreshments, cold drinks, biscuits and fruit waiting to tempt you — so do come along!
