Hire a Space
Our library offers flexible meeting and activity spaces available for community use. These spaces can be used for a wide range of purposes, including clubs, classes, workshops, and community-led events. We welcome proposals from local individuals and organisations looking to run regular groups or one-off activities.
Our spaces are currently used for a variety of activities, demonstrating their flexibility. These include children’s sessions such as Under 5s Storytime and Singing and a Homework Club, as well as adult learning and interest groups including ESOL (English as a Second Language) classes, a writers’ group, book club, Knit & Natter, and Mindful Monday. The spaces also host Health & Wellbeing sessions and other community-focused activities.

Meeting Room - £25 per hour
A flexible space ideal for a group session such as a club, class, lesson or workshop/talk, training, meeting or mini conference. (located on ground floor with wheelchair access)
Measurements: 6m * 5.4m, 32m squared Room
Capacity: 32 seated, 64 standing, 12-14 seated at tables, 8-10 on yoga mats.
Bookings include room setup to your requirements with tables and chairs or completely cleared out. It has access to water and facilities to make hot drinks and optional flip chart / TV screen.




Under the dome - £30 per hour
A large open space in the centre of the library featuring an impressive glass dome roof and high ceiling. (Located on ground floor with wheelchair access). Space suitable for: a group activity, club, class, workshop, or an event such as a talk / conference / performance.
Measurements: 8.8m * 7.3m, 64.24m squared
Room Capacity: 64 seated, 128 standing, 60-72 seated at tables, 12-14 on yoga mats.
Space only available when the library is closed to the public i.e.; evenings, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays after 1pm and Sundays. We may be able to offer reductions to non-profit and charity organisations. Space can be furnished or unfurnished.

Access to kitchen
We may ask that you clear up after yourselves in this space including moving furniture back to its original position, disposing of rubbish and giving the floor a quick sweep if necessary.




Small Meeting Room - £10 per hour
This compact office space can be used for one-to-one interviews / treatments or tutorials. It is located on the 1st floor which is accessible via stairs or a lift.
Private office space to rent on an ad hoc basis, can be unfurnished or furnished with table/chairs. Can fit in a massage table. Suitable for office / meeting / treatment room. Perfect for one-to-one sessions such as counselling, coaching, tutoring, music lessons, alternative to working from home, interviews, meetings with up to 4 people, treatments such as reiki, massage, beauty therapy, etc.. Includes Wi-Fi access.

Room Capacity: 2 comfortably, 4 maximum seated






The Whole Library Space - Half day £150 / Full day £250
The whole library can be booked out for a half day on Saturdays from 1pm or half / full day on Sundays with use of our ‘under the dome area’, meeting room, main library space with bookshelves pushed back and small kitchen.
Perfect for charity and corporate events, business meetings, exhibitions, team building days and all other business functions as well as christening/funeral reception.
