ESOL – Beginner & Entry 1

Beginner Literacy, beginner ESOL & Entry 1 on Tuesdays from 1-3pm

ESOL Levels explained
Beginner: For those who are new to English and are just beginning to speak, read, and write.
Entry Level 1: Can use and understand simple language for basic needs and travel.
Entry Level 2: Can handle simple, routine tasks and express feelings with increasing confidence.
Entry Level 3:: Can hold conversations on familiar topics and write more complex texts.

Classes are free and students are given an initial assessment and a diagnostic test to ensure they can access the correct class. We attempt to prepare course materials for most levels.

Classes are student cantered, encouraging input into the scheme of work. The library facilities and staff support the program with much welcomed voluntary help and use of a photocopier. The atmosphere is friendly and quiet, and a perfect place to learn and make friends.

ESOL Entry 2 & Entry 3 on Thursday from 10-12pm
