Help us make some fabric murals/wall hangings for the library to celebrate the wonderful diversity of the Corbett Community.
Come & share ideas & skills. Be part of a great community project bringing people of all skills & backgrounds together.
As well as 2 workshops & group making sessions, ESOL students are providing mother tongue words & henna patterns
& cultural symbols.
Donʼt miss the first workshop on BASIC EMBROIDERY & APPLIQUE SKILLS Led by local artist, Dave Johnson.
Learn a number of embroidery stitches & how to attach areas of colour & patterned fabric to your work with different applique techniques. In future workshops, we will use these skills to produce a number of different characters celebrating the people living in our community.
