We can’t wait to welcome you in again!
We are beyond excited to be opening our doors once more on Monday 12th April! We can’t wait to welcome you into the library and share our special space with you all. Initially we will be open for usual library services such as browsing, PC use, photocopying and printing.
#More than just a library
A lot of our regular activities will be unable to re-start straight away due to restrictions. We will, however, maintain Online Support Services in which two of our fantastic volunteers help people to complete online forms and applications that they are struggling with. They have continued to help people since August with Re-housing, Disabled Freedom Pass, Blue Badge, Taxi card, anti-social neighbours, Council Tax, dept., universal credit and employment, with only a couple of weeks were we had to close down completely to keep everyone safe.
We have also resumed our ESOL Classes (English as a second language) working to support the local community to improve their language skills.
We have StoryTime with Allison returning on Thursday 15th April at 9.30am for under 5’s.
In May we have ‘Singing with Hessie’ returning to her usual slot on Monday mornings at 10am! We are delighted to have Hessie back as she sings and plays the guitar with your under 5’s making everyone smile. We are allowed up to 15 parents and children for this session which will take place within the children’s library.
From 17th May other activities will resume with the rule of 6 and once we hit 21st June we will hit the ground running with our full range of activities and a host of events to get our community hub buzzing once more!
See our activities page for more info…
We are launching a new regular event ‘Small Business Saturday’ in which we will showcase 6-8 local businesses on the 2nd Saturday of every month starting on Saturday 10th July. We will be inviting a range of local artists/crafters/food makers and entrepreneurs to share their work with you and in turn we’d love you to show them support by shopping local! If you’d like to transform your mind, body and soul join our bi-weekly Gong Bath meditation session on Friday nights with our local resident yoga teacher. Alternatively if you fancy a tipple and a bit of fun look out for our Friday night events on the last Friday of each month such as quizzes, cabaret, musicians and more!
We look forward to welcoming you back into the library in April!
